Halton Regional Police are looking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspected thief in Georgetown.

Police say a man attended the Canadian Tire in Georgetown and allegedly stole a scanner valued at $1,000.

Officers released a surveillance image in the hopes of triggering an arrest in the June 14 case.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about five-foot-7-inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a burgundy long-sleeve shirt, camouflage cargo pants, a black hat with a white pattern of one large sun or flower shape surrounded by three smaller stars, black sneakers, a black watch on his right wrist and bracelets on his left wrist.

Anyone with information can call police at 905-825-4747 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
