Take a look at a "world-class axe throwing" bar that's opening very soon in the Hudson Valley.

Saxon Hall is opening in the very near future in Newburgh. The new business promotes its "Axes & Ales" on the door outside. Saxon Hall will open Orange County.

Saxon Hall is set to open in the Town of Newburgh, across the street from the Newburgh Mall.

"Saxon Hall is a world class axe throwing venue, where you will have a great time throwing at projected targets and playing fun games with your friends, frenemies, or cool new people you’ve met that day," owners state on their website. "Whether you are booking our large banquet hall for a private event or throwing at one of the ten projected target lanes we have we guarantee you will have a great time!"

Saxon Hall is located at 1400 NY300 in Newburgh.

"We have built state-of-the-art projected electronic targets so you can throw at a traditional targets or play fun new games like tic-tac-toe or throw at a horde of zombies," owners add.

It will open at was once the site of CB Driscol’s, across from the Newburgh Mall.

"If you love throwing axes and drinking a beer then you'll love this place! We have created a gorgeous setup featuring dozens of local brews and national favorites. We also have wines and ciders that are local and delicious," the website states.

An official opening date hasn't been announced. But we suspect it will be in the very near future because the Orange County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Jan. 17 at 4:30 p.m.
