The Fall Home Show, presented by Re/Max, returns to the Enercare Centre in Toronto from Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2.

If you want to find out what’s new in home-related products and services, plan your next renovation or interior design project, and learn from the experts, then be sure to attend this showcase of more than 250 home and lifestyle vendors. Tickets are available at torontohomeshows.com.

For the first time, RenoMark renovators will team up with Reno + Décor magazine at the Fall Home Show to present a booth called “Ask a Professional.” Visit the RenoMark side of the booth for a free 15-minute consultation with a RenoMark renovator about home upgrades and custom home building, then move to the design side to speak with an interior designer or decorator. Together, these professionals can help you figure out how to get started on your house or condo redesign project, how to make your home more energy-efficient, or how to adapt a space to support aging in place.

Many RenoMark renovators will also have their own booths at the Fall Home Show. You will recognize them by the RenoMark logo in front of their exhibit space. These renovation professionals, all of whom have committed to RenoMark’s code of conduct, will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your next renovation. The RenoMark Code of Conduct requires renovators to offer a minimum one-year warranty on all work, carry a minimum of $2 million in liability insurance and provide a detailed written contract.

Thinking you might want to tackle a home improvement project on your own? Come to the main stage on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m., for a talk about “When to DIY and When to Call in the Pros,” by HGTV real estate and renovation expert Scott McGillivray. Other speakers will cover topics such as organizing small spaces, designing rooms that grow with your child and using Scandinavian design influences to make your home cosy in the colder months. For the full schedule of speakers, go to the expert advice page of the Fall Home Show website.

At the Fall Home Show’s DIY Centre, you can learn how to use tools like a mitre saw, power drill, nail gun and more. Experts, including Mark Rason, Jordan Spear and Desta Ostapyk, can show you how to lay out and install a gallery wall, hang up storage cabinets and closet organizers and even build a backyard ice rink this winter.

And what would fall be without a decorative pumpkin or two? Bring the kids and paint your own, or purchase one of the Posh Pumpkins painted by designers, celebrities and influencers from all over the GTA as a fundraiser for the Furniture Bank.
