The first entry without a wood handle, this hammer is one of the new models from Milwaukee. The handle is made out of Shockshield material, which aims to reduce vibration and provide a firm grip. This hammer also has a magnetic nail set, which helps you set a nail with one hand.

The 17oz Smooth Face Framing Hammer is very similar to many of the other hammers on this list. It features a Shockshield handle for improved grip and reduced vibration. It also utilizes an anti-ring claw to reduce noise and ringing when an object is struck. For a lightweight hammer that still sports an almost- straight claw, you can’t go wrong with this pick.

Again featuring the Shockshield handle and magnetic nail set, this hammer pretty much only differs from many others on this list in size and the curved claw. It is the smallest of the Milwaukee hammers, at 16oz. It has a smooth face and a hybrid framing claw. When you don’t need a ton of driving force, this tool saves you some weight.
