Leicester’s Highcross shopping centre will soon welcome a Ted Baker store.

The luxury fashion brand is set to open its new shop on the upper level of the centre, in the unit formerly occupied by jewellery brand Thomas Sabo, which permanently closed in March last year.

As shoppers may have noticed, the windows of the unit now bear the Ted Baker name, along with the words 'opening October '21'.

The brand has confirmed to LeicetershireLive that the new store is due to open on Wednesday, October 6.

The store's opening times are set to be Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 8pm, Saturday 9am until 7pm and Sunday 11am until 5pm.

Ted Baker started out as a menswear brand in Glasgow in 1987.

It now offers a wide range of collections including menswear, womenswear, accessories, fragrance, skinwear, footwear, eyewear and watches.

The brand has hundreds of stores in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Ted Baker is one of a number of new openings coming soon to the Highcross shopping centre.

As we reported earlier this month, aesthetic clinic Thérapie is moving into the upper level unit previously occupied by clothing store Khaadi, which closed in September 2019.

Cosmetic clinic company Laser Clinics United Kingdom is also set to open a branch in unit formerly occupied by photographic retailing company Jessops, which closed last year.

Highcross also saw the opening of independent Indo-Chinese restaurant Wok Indo this month.
